Please note, FVCDC will continue its mask policy for staff and clients until September 4, 2021.  This means continuing to wear masks during sessions and in common spaces.  The reason is that many of the children we support do not have the ability to be vaccinated and they are often in a higher health vulnerability.  Keeping this measure in place will protect their health and safety.   Thank you for your understanding.  We look forward to serving you!

To continue to support our clients under direction from the Provincial Health Officer, FVCDC developed a COVID response.  Aligned with the BC government’s restart plan, FVCDC’s COVID response is a phased approach to gradually and safely reintroduce in-person services for our clients.

On June 15 we began Phase 2. Health and safety remain at the forefront. During Phase 2, a small number of in-person services are being provided in our Abbotsford and Chilliwack offices or at Sto:lo or Seabird and in safe, outdoor spaces where physical distancing can be maintained. The majority of our services will continue to be delivered virtually and by phone.

Health and safety remain at the forefront, rigorous safety measures are in place and will be monitored and evaluated as we continue to follow Provincial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC guidelines. If you are contacted about a potential in-person visit, your consultant or therapist will talk with you in advance about what you can expect when attending an appointment in person.

Please see the occupational Health and Safety Plan below.
