Family Services

The Family Services team supports children and youth from birth until their 19th birthday, alongside their families by using a family-centred approach to build the capacity of the family/caregivers surrounding the children and youth.

Services take place in the family’s home, community, school, or at the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) offices.

We serve families living in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, and Fraser Cascades. Our programs include Key Worker who providing support and education to the family/caregiver of children/youth who have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD) or a Complex Developmental Behaviour Condition (CDBC).

The Family Enrichment Program provides behavioural consulting and behavioural intervention through a contract with the Children and Youth with Special Needs Ministry teams. Our Clinical Counselling services are available for parents/caregivers and youth in support of the children receiving service, and Family Support Workers support parents/caregivers to find resources and services to enhance their child’s development.
