Who is the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre?
The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) is a registered charity, governed by a Board of Directors, with an approach to give children the tools for individual success. Since 1982, the FVCDC has provided programs and services that enhance the quality of life for children and youth with diverse abilities and their families throughout the Fraser Valley region. By helping families better understand their child’s growth and development, the multidisciplinary team of professionals support over 3,600 children and youth annually throughout the Fraser Valley. We understand that no two children or families are the same – each one has different needs, skills, challenges, resources and interests, and we believe that early identification and early intervention are key to giving each child their best future. We believe in “Helping Kids Shine” The services offered are delivered in a culture of excellence, diversity, and respect, with a focus on innovation, quality, stability, and positive outcomes for each child and their family. These include early intervention, school aged and specialized services that are community-based, accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of children at all stages of their development. Some examples of services provided are:
- Supported Infant + Child Development
- Preschool + Child Care
- Family Support
- Physical Therapy
