Assessment Clinic

The Assessment Clinic provides multidisciplinary team-based assessments for the diagnosis of Autism or Complex Developmental and Behavioral Disorder (such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum), through a contract with the Provincial Health Services Authority. Privately funded assessments also available through this clinic (Abbotsford).

Referrals for provincially funded assessments are received from the BC Autism Assessment Network or the Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions Network, services of the Provincial Health Services Authority.  Physicians must refer to these programs for assessments.

Referrals for privately funded assessments may be made by parents/caregivers, physicians or other health care providers, educators or schools , social workers or any other community agency with the consent of the family.  Referral sources can contact the FVCDC at gro.cdcvf@ofni or 604-852-2686 and indicate that they would like to make a referral for a privately funded assessment to be connected to Assessment Clinic staff.

Our assessment team includes Psychologist, Social Worker, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and/or Physical Therapist as identified by the referral source or our team.
