Resources for Teachers, Educational Assistants and Administrators
in the districts and schools that are served by FVCDC
This free 45-minute webinar was recorded in May 2020 by a small team of FVCDC occupational therapists and physiotherapists. This webinar provides an overview of
- the roles of Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists in the School-Aged Therapy Program,
- equipment commonly used by children with physical disabilities, and
- common physical accessibility barriers, and how these barriers can impact students with physical disabilities in emergency situations at school.
The FVCDC therapists featured in this webinar would like to acknowledge and thank the many other team members who also provide services for school-aged children. Certain details in this presentation are specific to the Abbotsford School District, however the broader themes presented here are largely applicable to other districts and independent schools in the Fraser region.
