For the children over 6, small social skills groups are facilitated by experienced behavoural interventionists and are designed for children to learn age appropraite social skills, such as turn taking, inviting others to play, play group etiquette, reading body language, all in an environment which fosters fun and friendships.

Social and Life Skills Program

This program is designed for children who require skill devleopment in the areas of social etiquete, friend building, conflict resolution and life skills.

Services are provided on a 2 to 1 ratio (2 children per 1 adult). The program runs 12 week blocks, three times per year, after school.

Your Behaviour Consultant and Interventionist will work to develop peer relationships by teaching a variety of skills to your child, including but not limited to negotiation skills; coordinated play; interactive play; conflict resolution; sharing; building friendships; problem solving; chores; money exchange; communication and listening; initiating and accepting offers to join activities; interpreting peers verbal and non-verbal cues.

Fees: The cost of the Social and Life Skills Program is approximately $280.00 per month. This includes 2 hours per week of direct service by a qualified Behaviour Interventionist (based on a 2 to 1 ratio), under the direction of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. An additional 15 minutes per month is charged for the monthly planning activities and outings. With this program families will be required to provide their child with pocket money for outings and activities.

LEGO© Club

This fun intervention program uses the media of LEGO© to teach 8-12 year old children the complexities of social interaction and social behaviour. The program runs in once per week, for 12 week blocks, 3 times per year, and after school. It is lead by highliy skilled Behaviour Interventionists under the direction of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.

Buddy Club

This is a fun intervention opportunity for children aged 6-8 years, to learn to play and interact cooperatively in a variety of social settings. The program runs in once per week, for 12 week blocks, 3 times per year, and after school. It is lead by highliy skilled Behaviour Interventionists under the direction of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
