Planned Giving

Planned Giving allows you to make a difference for children in future years to come and allows us the ability to maintain the service delivery we feel our children and their families deserve. Here are some suggestions of these charitable gifts.

Bequest through Will - In your will you instruct your executor(s) that one or more of your assets be left to The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre. These assets may range from cash, stocks, real estate and other. Your estate will receive a tax receipt which will be added to your final tax return.

Donate in Memory - Make a donation in memory of someone who has passed away. We will direct a card to the person of your choice with your message.

Transfer of Stocks - Make a donation by giving your selected amount of publicly traded securities to the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre. Consult your accountant to learn how this kind of donation may eliminate capital gains and/or reduce your tax bill.

Gifts of RRSPs or RRIFs - Donors enrolled in RRSP or who have already converted their RRSP to RRIF, can make a charitable gift or all or a portion of their retirement funds remaining at death.

Life Insurance - A gift of life insurance allows you to make a generous gift to the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre. There are two types of life insurance gifts, revocable and irrevocable, your choice may depend on your personal situation where you have the greatest need for tax relief.
