Here’s How Some Community Organizations Have Been Helping the FVCDC

The Vancouver Foundation funds our South Asian Family Support Worker position. It has also sponsored several children to attend summer therapy camp and made a significant contribution to our resource and toy lending library.

The Soroptimist International of Abbotsford and Mission has, since 2001, donated almost $30,000 towards toys and resources for families, therapists, and consultants.

The Abbotsford Community Foundation, through the Ewald Remple Fund, has donated as much as $10,000 annually for resources and equipment at the FVCDC.

The FVCDC received more than $6,000 from the bingo fund of The Abbotsford Shrine Club, an organization that shares our vision of providing opportunities and services to children with developmental needs.

The Clearbrook Lions Club has supported the FVCDC for many years by raising funds for equipment and resources, as well as assisting us with the renovation of our facilities.

As well as raising funds that help purchase equipment and resources for the FVCDC, the Abbotsford Lions Club provides and serves all the food for the annual Christmas party that we hold for the children who receive our services.
